Edmonton police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for David Nelson St. Cyr, 34, in connection with a carjacking that occurred on May 10, 2026, in north Edmonton. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. near 118 Avenue and 82 Street, where St. Cyr allegedly stole a taxi at knifepoint from a 52-year-old driver. The driver was not physically injured but was left shaken.

Suspect Description

St. Cyr is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jeans. Police believe he may be armed and dangerous, urging the public not to approach him but to call 911 immediately if spotted.

Investigation Ongoing

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is working with other law enforcement agencies to locate St. Cyr. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
