Oakridge Park was bustling with activity on Wednesday afternoon as construction crews, store staff, and food court vendors scrambled to prepare for its grand opening on May 28, 2026. The massive development, one of the largest in Vancouver's history, echoed with backup beeps, sounding alarms, and grinding saws.
A Luxury Retail Experience
With a stunning and undeniably luxury feel, the retail space set to open includes approximately 50 stores and the Time Out Market. Stores like Aritzia and Louis Vuitton are ready for business, while others still display 'coming soon' signs or temporary construction cladding. The shopping centre component spans over 650,000 square feet of retail and dining, featuring more than 100 premier global brands that establish a new benchmark for experiential retail in Canada, according to Chrystal Burns, executive vice-president of QuadReal Property Group.
Burns noted that all retail space on the main level is spoken for, with additional store openings scheduled for this fall and into 2027. The mall will debut several stand-alone boutiques for luxury brands such as Loewe and Dolce & Gabbana in Canada.
Time Out Market: A Foodie Haven
Upstairs from the main atrium, the Time Out Market is ready to attract local and travelling food enthusiasts. This dining hall aims to feature the best of the city under one roof, with local favourites such as Ask for Luigi, Rob Feenie, Blnd Tger, Baan Lao, and Beaucoup Bakery Café among the options. The 50,000-square-foot food court features low marble tables and high-top tables made of light-toned wood, creating a bright, modern space to explore Vancouver's most talked-about bites.
Kitchen and service staff were busy chopping vegetables, practicing plating dishes, and stocking the bar in preparation for the evening preview.
A Mixed-Use Development
The sprawling development at Cambie Street and West 41st Avenue includes a mall, residential towers, office space, and a public park within a 28-acre footprint. Oakridge Park opens to the public on May 28 at 11 a.m.
