The Calgary building industry celebrated its pinnacle event of the year with the 2025 Building Industry and Land Development Calgary Region (BILDCR) Awards, honoring top homes, communities, marketing, and sales achievements. Held on April 11 at the BMO Centre, the gala drew nearly 1,400 attendees, marking it as a spectacular gathering for builders, renovators, developers, and partners shaping the city.
Grand Award Winners and Industry Leaders
For the sixth consecutive year, Logel Homes secured a prestigious Grand Award, winning Multi-Family Large Volume Builder of the Year. This Calgary-based homebuilder also excelled across multiple categories, earning 11 of the 70 awards available, including top spots in Best Apartment Style and Best Multi-Family Home Design categories, with 18 finalist nominations highlighting their diverse expertise.
At the single-family level, Jayman Built claimed the title of Large Volume Single Family Builder of the Year for the 12th time, while Crafted Edge Homes was honored as Renovator of the Year for the third year. Newcomers to the winner's circle included Dream Ridge Homes, winning Small Volume Single Family Builder of the Year, and RareBuilt Homes for Small Volume Multi-family Builder of the Year. Platform Insurance and Wildwood Cabinets were recognized as Enterprise Partner of the Year and Boutique Partner of the Year, respectively.
Record Competition and Judging Process
Brian Hahn, CEO of BILDCR, emphasized the fierce competition this year, with a record number of entries creating an energetic atmosphere of pride and camaraderie. From an initial pool of over 800 submissions, a panel of more than 100 industry judges narrowed it down to 227 finalists, culminating in 70 winners across 11 categories such as advertising, developer achievements, multi-family design, and sales.
The seven BILD Grand Awards represent the highest achievement in the Calgary region's homebuilding industry, focusing on outstanding design, service, safety, and customer care. Hahn noted that winners set benchmarks for creativity, craftsmanship, and leadership, driving the industry toward world-class standards.
