Yorbeau Resources Launches Major Exploration Drilling in Northwestern Québec
Yorbeau Begins Exploration Drilling in Northwestern Québec

Yorbeau Resources Inc. (TSX: YRB) has initiated a comprehensive exploration drilling campaign across its key properties in northwestern Québec, marking a significant step in its mineral exploration efforts. The program, which commenced in January 2026, focuses on the Beschefer, Selbaie West, and Allard properties, with a total planned drilling of approximately 5,645 meters.

Drilling Details and Objectives

The exploration involves approximately 2,545 meters of drilling on the Beschefer property, 2,100 meters on Selbaie West, and 1,000 meters on the Allard property. This initiative aims to uncover and assess potential mineral deposits, leveraging the region's rich geological history.

Beschefer Property Exploration

Located 9 km southeast of the former Selbaie mine, which historically produced 56.9 million tonnes at 0.87% copper, 1.85% zinc, and 39 g/t silver, the Beschefer property is strategically positioned. It lies immediately east of the B-26 Zone, currently under development by Abitibi Metals Corp. and SOQUEM, with indicated resources of 13.0 million tonnes at 2.1% copper equivalent and inferred resources of 12.3 million tonnes at 2.2% copper equivalent.

The 2026 program at Beschefer is designed to trace the B-26 Zone near the surface and test induced polarization anomalies along the extension of the B-14 gold zone, situated about 2 km to the east. Drilling is currently underway, with results expected to be released as they become available.

Selbaie West Property Plans

Drilling on the Selbaie West property will begin once all necessary permits are secured. This campaign targets the continuity of newly identified copper, zinc, gold, and silver zones discovered by SOQUEM over the past two years on the adjacent Wagosic property. Notably, a recent drill hole on Wagosic intersected a mineralized zone of 296.9 meters at 1.47% zinc, 0.20% copper, 0.06 g/t gold, and 18.3 g/t silver.

The Selbaie horizon extends over 9 km onto Yorbeau's property. Historical drilling by Yorbeau in 2008 near the eastern boundary identified this horizon, returning several copper and zinc values. Additional results from the southwest portion suggest potential within the B-26 horizon. A 2012 drill hole intersected over 20 meters of disseminated mineralization with copper and nickel values in a gabbro. The 2026 program includes drilling in this area to evaluate the significance of this intersection.

Allard Property Overview

The Allard property, located southwest of Matagami, is part of this exploration push, though specific details beyond the 1,000 meters of planned drilling are less emphasized in the current release. This property adds to Yorbeau's broader strategy in the region.

Strategic Implications and Future Steps

This exploration program underscores Yorbeau Resources' commitment to expanding its mineral resource base in northwestern Québec. By targeting areas with proven historical production and adjacent developments, the company aims to capitalize on the region's mineral potential. Results from the drilling will be crucial in shaping future exploration and potential development plans.

Note: The mineral resource estimates and exploration results referenced for adjacent properties are based on public disclosures by Abitibi Metals Corp. and SOQUEM. Yorbeau Resources has not independently verified this information, and mineralization on nearby properties may not indicate similar findings on Yorbeau's properties.
