Precore Gold Secures Full Ownership of Lac Big-Rush Gold Property in Quebec's Chibougamau Mining Camp
Precore Gold Acquires 100% of Lac Big-Rush Gold Property in Quebec

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Precore Gold Corp. (CSE: PRCG) has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of a 100% undivided interest in the Lac Big-Rush Gold Property, located within the highly productive Chibougamau mining camp of Quebec. The company has accelerated and modified its original Definitive Option Agreement, which was initially structured over a three-year period, to secure immediate full ownership of the property.

Strategic Acquisition in a Prolific Mining Region

This strategic move comes at a time of significant activity within the Chibougamau mining camp. The region has recently witnessed notable mergers and acquisitions, including Iamgold Corporation's acquisition of Northern Superior Resources Inc. in December 2025, which created the Nelligan Mining Complex. This complex represents one of Canada's largest pre-production gold camps, boasting Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources of 3.75 million ounces of gold and Inferred Mineral Resources of 8.65 million ounces.

The proximity of Iamgold's primary deposits supports the conceptual vision of a central processing facility within the Chibougamau camp that could be fed from multiple ore sources within a 17-kilometre radius. This regional development enhances the strategic value of Precore Gold's newly acquired property.

Geological Significance and Property Details

The Lac Big-Rush Property is situated along the east-west Faribault and Croteau inverse faults and shears, placing it within a gold-bearing area of considerable interest. The property neighbors Iamgold's Croteau Project to the west, which hosts an Inferred near-surface resource of 640,000 ounces at 1.73 grams per tonne, located merely 300 meters from Precore Gold's property boundaries.

In addition to the original claims, the 100% ownership includes an adjacent 498 hectares, expanding Precore Gold's total holdings to 49 claims encompassing 2,712 hectares in the Eeyou-Istchee Baie-James territory of the Chibougamau mining camp.

Executive Commentary and Future Plans

Paul A. Dumas, Executive Chairman of Precore Gold, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, stating, "We are pleased to have acquired 100% of the Lac Big-Rush Property, located in this prolific and highly-prospective mining camp in Quebec, a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction. With the most recent M&A activity in the Chibougamau mining camp, we wanted to capitalize on the opportunity of securing the property at what we believe to be a discounted cost."

Dumas further noted, "We believe this asset has great discovery potential, seeing as it has noteworthy historical drill hole data, yet hasn't had any exploration work done on it since the early 1980s. We look forward to the planning of a preliminary exploration campaign in the second half of 2026."

Historical Context and Exploration Potential

The property's historical significance is underscored by drill hole data from previous decades, though it has remained largely unexplored since the early 1980s. This presents a unique opportunity for modern exploration techniques to uncover new gold deposits in a region with established mineralization.

The acquisition positions Precore Gold to potentially benefit from the growing infrastructure and development within the Chibougamau camp, particularly as larger mining operations like Iamgold's Nelligan Complex advance toward production.

As the company moves forward with its exploration plans, the Lac Big-Rush Property represents a strategic asset in one of Canada's most promising gold mining regions, offering substantial potential for discovery and development in the coming years.
