NexGold Reports High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Goldlund Deposit, Announces Board Changes
NexGold Hits 3.31 g/t Gold Over 20 Metres at Goldlund

NexGold Mining Announces Promising Drill Results and Board Restructuring

NexGold Mining Corp., a Canadian mineral exploration company, has released initial findings from its extensive diamond drilling program at the Goldlund Deposit, part of the Goliath Gold Complex. The company reported intercepts of 3.31 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 20.0 metres, alongside other notable results, and simultaneously announced a change in its board of directors.

Initial Drill Results Highlight High-Grade Gold Mineralization

The drilling program, which commenced recently, involves up to 25,000 metres of exploration focused on infilling and potentially expanding open pit mineral resources at the Goldlund Deposit. In this update, NexGold detailed results from 2,490 metres of diamond drilling across eight drill holes, designated GL-25-001 to GL-25-008B. These holes targeted Zone 4 of the deposit, aiming to test down-dip continuity and enhance geological understanding.

Key intercepts from the drilling include:

  • 3.31 g/t gold over 20.00 metres in drill hole GL-25-003, with higher-grade sections of 71.69 g/t gold over 0.75 metres and 3.89 g/t gold over 1.00 metre.
  • 7.59 g/t gold over 9.00 metres in drill hole GL-25-002, including 104 g/t gold over 0.50 metres and 5.64 g/t gold over 1.00 metres.
  • 3.16 g/t gold over 7.00 metres in drill hole GL-25-006, featuring 13.90 g/t gold over 1.00 metre and 4.51 g/t gold over 1.00 metres.
  • 1.87 g/t gold over 10.85 metres in drill hole GL-25-002, with intervals of 4.68 g/t gold over 1.00 metre and 9.49 g/t gold over 1.00 metre.

Kevin Bullock, President and CEO of NexGold, expressed enthusiasm about the results, stating, "We are pleased to provide the initial drill results from the infill drill program at Goldlund. The drilling at the deposit provides a greater level of certainty in the deeper areas of the planned open pit, which will be used to support our efforts to optimize the Goliath Gold Complex." He added that the findings confirm the continuity of near-surface mineralization to deeper zones, with mineralization remaining open along strike and at depth, offering opportunities for future exploration and resource expansion.

Geological Insights and Corporate Governance Update

The Goldlund Deposit is characterized by quartz stockwork veining resulting from brittle deformation of sub-vertical granodiorite sills. Zone 4, in particular, has been identified as a wide interval of intermediate-mafic volcanic rocks with multiple porphyry and granodiorite intrusions. Drill holes GL-25-001, GL-25-002, GL-25-003, and GL-25-005 have confirmed the continuity of Zone 4, which is expected to improve the geological model and upgrade mineral resource confidence in future estimates.

In addition to the drilling update, NexGold announced a change in its board of directors. While specific details were not provided in the initial release, such corporate governance adjustments often reflect strategic shifts or efforts to enhance leadership as the company advances its exploration activities. This move underscores NexGold's commitment to aligning its management structure with its operational goals and growth trajectory in the competitive mining sector.

The positive results from Zone 4, especially near its southwest end where GL-25-006 intersected significant gold grades, highlight the deposit's potential for further development. As the drilling program continues, NexGold plans to target areas where mineralization remains open, aiming to expand the mineral resource and identify new exploration targets.
