Rocky Shore Gold Uncovers Higher-Grade Gold in Newfoundland Deposits
Higher Gold Grades Found at Newfoundland's Gold Anchor Project

Toronto-based Rocky Shore Gold Ltd. (CSE: RSG) has announced a promising development at its Gold Anchor Project in central Newfoundland. The company's ongoing review of historical data from two recently acquired gold deposits has revealed the presence of thicker, higher-grade gold intervals than previously recognized.

Significant Findings from Historical Data

The analysis focuses on the Mosquito Hill and Reid gold deposits, which Rocky Shore optioned and acquired, respectively, in early December 2025. Both are porphyry-controlled deposits that outcrop at surface and remain open for expansion along strike and at depth. They are situated adjacent to the company's 100% owned Gold Anchor Project, within what is considered an emerging gold district.

Ken Lapierre, President and CEO of Rocky Shore, stated, "Persistent higher-grade gold intervals throughout a thick centre core at both porphyry-controlled gold deposits is a significant first step in understanding additional potential." He added that the company plans to continue releasing findings from its data compilation in the coming months.

Drill Highlights Showcase Grade and Width

The compiled historical drill data presents several compelling intersections. At the Mosquito Hill deposit, notable results include:

  • 2.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 35.00 metres, including a higher-grade zone of 3.00 g/t gold over 5.00 metres.
  • 0.67 g/t gold over an impressive 103.35 metre interval, with a high-grade spike of 7.56 g/t gold over 1.00 metre.
  • 0.50 g/t gold over 110.00 metres.

The Reid gold deposit also returned strong historical results, such as:

  • 0.71 g/t gold over 88.04 metres.
  • 1.48 g/t gold over 25.45 metres, including a high-grade section of 3.62 g/t gold over 7.80 metres.
  • 1.60 g/t gold over 20.00 metres.

These intervals confirm the presence of a robust, mineralized system with zones of concentrated gold values.

Strategic Position in a Proliferous Gold Corridor

A key aspect of the Gold Anchor Project's potential is its geological setting. The property hosts a segment of the prolific Appleton Fault Corridor, a major structural feature in Newfoundland known for its association with high-grade gold mineralization.

The Mosquito Hill and Reid deposits are strategically located next to Rocky Shore's 11-kilometre-long Lane Pond Gold Target, a high-grade, structurally-controlled target also associated with the Appleton Fault. The company has announced plans to initiate its inaugural winter drill program at the Lane Pond target in the first quarter of 2026.

Lapierre highlighted the company's position, noting, "With gold prices near all-time highs, a strong treasury, growth potential at both porphyry-controlled gold deposits and commencement of our first drill program... Rocky Shore is well positioned in 2026 to continue to deliver value creation opportunities."

The project area in central Newfoundland is becoming a focal point for gold exploration, with several significant claim owners active in the region. Rocky Shore's latest data compilation strengthens the geological understanding of its assets and provides a clear pathway for future exploration and drilling campaigns aimed at expanding the known resources.
