Globex Mining Announces Expanded High-Grade Gold Discovery in Quebec Drilling Program

Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. has released an encouraging update on exploration activities conducted by Cartier Resources Inc. on its Nordeau Royalty claims located in Vauquelin Township, approximately 45 kilometers southeast of Val d'Or, Quebec. The company holds a substantial 3% Gross Metal Royalty on these claims, which encompass the area where Cartier continues to make significant advancements in gold discovery.

Substantial Gold Mineralization Intersections Revealed

Cartier Resources has reported additional drill intersections from the North Contact Zone (NCZ) gold discovery, revealing noteworthy gold mineralization between depths of 100 to 300 meters. The NCZ comprises three parallel high-grade gold zones identified as NC1, NC2, and NC3, each separated by approximately 50 meters. Recent drilling has yielded particularly impressive results that underscore the project's potential.

Highlighted drilling results from Cartier's exploration program include:

  • In the NCZ East Extension, hole CA25-559 intersected 54.6 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 meter, including an exceptional 85.1 grams per tonne gold over 0.5 meter within the NC1 zone
  • Hole CA25-558 returned 4.4 grams per tonne gold over 6.0 meters, including 23.2 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 meter in the NC3 zone
  • Hole CA25-557 intersected 7.5 grams per tonne gold over 0.5 meter in the NC3 zone
  • Additional significant intersections include CA25-554 with 1.5 grams per tonne gold over 15.5 meters, CA25-547 with 1.2 grams per tonne gold over 13.2 meters, and CA25-552 with 1.0 grams per tonne gold over 10.5 meters, all within the NC3 zone

Based on observed intercept angles within the drill core, true thicknesses are estimated to represent approximately 50-75% of the reported core length intervals, indicating substantial mineralized zones.

Strategic Expansion of Mineralized System

The drilling program has achieved several critical milestones that enhance the project's strategic value. Holes CA25-557, 558, and 559 have discovered high-grade gold zones extending 500 meters along the eastern strike extension of both NC1 and NC3 gold zones, significantly expanding the North Contact main mineralized system. These results consistently show visible gold and sulphides, confirming the quality of the mineralization.

Equally important, holes CA25-547, 552, and 554 have confirmed that the NCZ extends to surface and remains open at depth. This finding supports potential shallow development scenarios and resource expansion opportunities. The combination of exposed bedrock, minimal overburden, and proximity to year-round access roads positions the NCZ as a highly strategic asset with favorable development characteristics.

Ambitious Future Exploration Plans

Cartier Resources has outlined comprehensive next steps for the exploration program. Expansion drilling on the NCZ will continue at depths ranging from 300 to 600 meters, with the objective of connecting the lateral footprint of the NCZ and its eastern extensions. This work aims to upgrade the mineral resource estimate and better define the deposit's full potential.

The company also plans to continue testing high-priority regional targets along the strike of the contact sector and the Heva Fault Zone. This exploration will be supported by detailed structural and geological modeling, along with VRIFY's artificial intelligence-driven targeting technology, representing a modern approach to mineral exploration.

Cartier's ambitious drilling program encompasses approximately 600 holes as part of a 100,000-meter campaign forecasted for completion by the second quarter of 2027. This extensive program will both expand known gold zones and test new shallow surface targets with high potential for additional discoveries.

The Nordeau Royalty claims project represents a significant opportunity in Quebec's established mining region, with Globex Mining Enterprises positioned to benefit from Cartier's exploration success through its royalty interest. The continued expansion of high-grade gold zones and the strategic location near Val d'Or's mining infrastructure contribute to the project's promising outlook within Canada's mining sector.
