Exploration company Cartier Resources Inc. has reported a strong new set of drill results from its ongoing campaign at the Cadillac Project in Quebec's prolific Abitibi region. The results, released on December 2, 2025, highlight continued high-grade gold intercepts near the surface, underscoring the project's growing potential.
Impressive Drill Results from North Contact Zone
The latest batch of assays comes from the fully funded 100,000-metre drilling program focused on the Contact Sector, specifically the North Contact Zone (NCZ). This zone is comprised of three parallel high-grade gold structures known as NCZ1, NCZ2, and NCZ3, spaced roughly 50 metres apart.
The standout result was from drill hole CA25-551, which intersected 16.2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 3.5 metres. This high-grade interval was contained within a broader zone grading 5.9 g/t gold over 11.0 metres in the NCZ3 structure.
Other notable results from the NCZ include:
- Hole CA25-546 grading 57.8 g/t gold over 0.5 metres within a 2.0-metre interval of 16.1 g/t gold (NCZ3).
- Hole CA25-544 intersecting 1.0 g/t gold over 16.0 metres (NCZ3).
- Hole CA25-546 also reported 29.7 g/t gold over 0.7 metres in the NCZ1 zone.
- Hole CA25-551 hit 11.6 g/t gold over 1.0 metre in the NCZ2 zone.
Significance for Development and Investors
According to the company, these results further demonstrate the presence of a shallow and extensive mineralized system. The defined area now spans approximately 400 metres in strike length and 300 metres in depth, hosting multiple stacked high-grade zones with notable continuity.
A key development is the identification of the Héva Fault Zone, which confirms the gold system remains robust and is open for expansion in all directions. This new structural target presents a significant growth opportunity for the project.
The North Contact Zone is considered a highly strategic asset due to several favourable factors: exposed bedrock, minimal overburden cover of only about 5 metres, and its proximity—just 250 metres—to year-round road access. This combination supports potential scenarios for a future shallow mining operation.
Next Steps and Executive Commentary
Cartier's exploration strategy is advancing on multiple fronts. Upcoming drilling will test new high-priority regional targets along the strike of the Contact Sector. This work is supported by detailed geological modelling and AI-driven targeting from VRIFY technology.
The company is also advancing work on the new Nordeau Sector, where initial mineralized showings have been identified but require further definition through drilling.
"With the release of its fourth batch of results at the NCZ, we have again exceeded expectations confirming the strength and continuity of this high-grade gold system," stated Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO of Cartier. He emphasized that the Contact Sector merits an expanded drilling program for a more comprehensive evaluation.
Ronan Deroff, Vice President of Exploration, highlighted the potential of the Héva Fault Zone, noting that first drill holes more than 500 metres east of the NCZ have already intersected visible gold. "With more than 5 km of untested ground still open to the east, this sector offers significant upside for additional gold discoveries," Deroff said.
Cartier Resources Inc. trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ECR and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as 6CA. The Cadillac Project is 100%-owned by the company and is located near Val-d'Or, Quebec, a world-class mining jurisdiction.
