Brixton Metals Commences 2026 Thorn Project Drilling in BC
Brixton Metals Starts 2026 Thorn Project Drilling

Brixton Metals Corporation (TSX-V: BBB, OTCQX: BBBXF) has announced the commencement of drilling at its wholly owned Thorn Project in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The fully funded 2026 exploration program, totaling 10,000 meters, is focused on copper and gold targets. Drilling began on June 1, 2026, and has already completed 249 meters across three holes.

The Thorn Project is located approximately 90 kilometers east-northeast of Juneau, Alaska, and 120 kilometers west of Dease Lake, British Columbia. The company aims to advance multiple priority targets through drilling, geophysics, and fieldwork, supporting future mineral resource estimates.

2026 Exploration Objectives

The exploration program targets several key areas:

  • Camp Creek: Expand the known near-surface high-sulphidation copper-gold-silver mineralized zone by drilling to the north and south. An updated mineral resource estimate for the Camp Creek porphyry is planned.
  • Catalyst, Tempest, Sentinel, and Icy: Extend the known limits of mineralization through step-out drilling.
  • Trapper Gold Target: Advance a maiden resource estimate with infill and step-out drilling.
  • Camp Creek Corridor and East Targets: Refine drill targets using drone magnetic surveying, mapping, and soil geochemistry. The drone magnetic survey is currently 70% complete.
  • Geo-metallurgical Testing: Conduct testing at Camp Creek and Trapper to support mineral resource updates.

Chairman's Statement

Gary R. Thompson, Chairman and CEO of Brixton Metals, expressed enthusiasm: “We are excited to kick off another exploration season at Thorn with an initial focus on Camp Creek, Catalyst, Tempest, Sentinel, and Trapper. This fully funded program is designed to advance several priority targets through drilling, geophysics, and fieldwork, while also supporting progress toward future mineral resource estimates at Camp Creek and Trapper.”

2026 Program Overview

The 2026 exploration plans at Thorn are centered on advancing the Camp Creek high-sulphidation gold system, the Catalyst and Tempest copper-gold porphyries, and the Sentinel copper porphyry target. The program includes a fully funded 10,000-meter drill campaign and an ongoing 16-line-kilometer magnetic survey.

Camp Creek High-Sulphidation and Porphyry System

Initial drilling is focused on the Camp Creek porphyry-epithermal system, which features a shallow high-sulphidation gold zone and a deeper porphyry copper-gold-silver-molybdenum system. Shallow drilling in the high-sulphidation zone is evaluating the continuity, orientation, and controls of mineralized structures identified through earlier work. This gold system includes the Glenfiddich, Northside, and Talisker vein systems, as well as the Oban Breccia. The 2026 program at Camp Creek is intended to support a future mineral resource estimate for both the high-sulphidation and porphyry components of this kilometer-scale system.
