Nuvei appoints new COO, CFO, CPTO to lead global growth

Nuvei, the global fintech company providing payment infrastructure, announced three key executive appointments on July 1, 2026. Samir Zabaneh joins as Chief Operating Officer, David McLaughlin as Chief Financial Officer, and Eli Rosner as Chief Product and Technology Officer. The appointments are part of the company's strategy to support its next phase of global growth.

New leadership team brings decades of experience

The three executives collectively bring decades of experience in building, operating, and scaling global payments and software businesses. According to Phil Fayer, Chair and CEO of Nuvei, the appointments aim to strengthen alignment across how the company builds, operates, and invests as businesses expand across more markets, payment methods, and channels.

Samir Zabaneh appointed Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Samir Zabaneh will lead Nuvei's global operating model, unifying regional general manager organizations under a single operational leadership. He will also assume responsibility for Compliance and Risk and Underwriting globally. Zabaneh brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across payments, software, and financial services. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of TouchBistro, and held senior roles at Fiserv, Element Fleet Management, Global Payments, and Moneris Solutions.

David McLaughlin appointed Chief Financial Officer

David McLaughlin will lead Nuvei's global finance organization, focusing on strengthening operational discipline, supporting sustainable growth, and aligning capital allocation with long-term strategic priorities. He brings over 30 years of experience across payments, fintech, banking, and insurance. Most recently, he served as CFO at Blackhawk Network, where he led a global organization and supported sustained growth and margin expansion.

Eli Rosner appointed Chief Product and Technology Officer

Eli Rosner will oversee Nuvei's product and technology strategy, driving innovation in payment solutions. He has extensive experience in product development and technology leadership within the fintech sector.
