Bombardier's Abu Dhabi Service Centre on Track for 2026 Opening
Bombardier Abu Dhabi Service Centre Advances Construction

Canadian aerospace leader Bombardier has announced significant construction progress on its new, state-of-the-art service centre in Abu Dhabi. The facility, rising at Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI), remains on schedule to open its doors in the second half of 2026.

A Strategic Hub for the Middle East

This flagship development is a cornerstone of Bombardier's strategy to expand its global customer service and support network. The 120,000 square foot complex is designed to be a key operational hub for the company's business aircraft activities across the Middle East region.

"Watching this flagship facility take shape powerfully symbolizes Bombardier's commitment to delivering world-class maintenance capabilities in the Middle East," stated Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President of Bombardier Aftermarket Services and Strategy. He emphasized the company's goal to be the most trusted ally for customers, guided by principles of care, convenience, and confidence.

World-Class Capabilities and Economic Impact

The expansive centre will feature a 55,000 square foot hangar, a dedicated parts depot, and a comprehensive suite of maintenance services. These will include scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications, and critical Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support.

Once operational, the facility is poised to create approximately 100 highly skilled jobs in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing the city's status as a key financial and aviation hub. It will complement Bombardier's existing Line Maintenance Station in Dubai, creating a robust support ecosystem in the region.

Designed for the Entire Fleet, Including the Global 8000

A critical function of the new centre will be to provide maintenance for Bombardier's complete portfolio of business aircraft. This includes the entire Learjet, Challenger, and Global families. Notably, the facility will be equipped to service the soon-to-enter-into-service Global 8000, the world's fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet.

This project also aligns with the broader Al Bateen Executive Airport Masterplan led by Abu Dhabi Airports, which aims to elevate the airport into a premier global hub for business aviation through enhanced infrastructure and advanced service capabilities.
