Windsor police are reaching out to the public for assistance in a vehicle theft investigation after leads have dried up. Authorities are asking residents and drivers in the South Windsor area to check their surveillance, doorbell, or dash-camera footage for any clues.
Details of the Incident
A homeowner reported his 2024 Ineos Grenadier missing on May 25 upon returning to his home in the 3400 block of Huntington Avenue after a weekend trip. Police responded to the scene and began their investigation.
Suspect Description
Investigators determined that a suspect was seen walking northbound on Huntington Avenue from Medina Street East shortly before 10 p.m. on May 22. The suspect then entered the vehicle and drove southbound on Huntington. The man is described as approximately six feet tall with brown hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Appeal for Video Footage
Police are urging residents and drivers in the area bounded by Whiteside Drive to Medina Street East to Ouellette Avenue to Beals Street East to review any footage recorded between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on May 22. Even seemingly insignificant details could prove crucial to the investigation.
