Windsor OPP Seize $75K in Stolen Goods, Drugs; Two Charged

Ontario Provincial Police have seized approximately $75,000 in stolen property and illegal drugs following the execution of a search warrant in Lakeshore. The operation led to multiple charges against two men from Belle River.

Search Warrant Execution

On May 21, 2026, members of the OPP's Essex County detachment, along with the OPP's Community Street Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in Lakeshore. The search resulted in the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property, including power tools, electronics, and other valuables, as well as a quantity of suspected illicit drugs.

Charges Laid

Two men, aged 38 and 41, both residents of Belle River, have been charged with multiple offenses. The charges include possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime. The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
