Meth, Bear Spray Seized After Regina Traffic Stop Flee

Regina police seized methamphetamine and bear spray after a driver fled a traffic stop on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Albert Street.

Police Pursuit and Arrest

Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver sped away. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control and crashed into a fence. Two occupants fled on foot but were apprehended shortly after.

Seized Items

During a search of the vehicle, police found a quantity of methamphetamine and two cans of bear spray. The drugs have an estimated street value of $5,000.

Charges have been laid against a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman. They face multiple counts including possession for the purpose of trafficking, dangerous driving, and flight from police.

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on May 15.
