PressReader, the world's leading digital platform for newspapers, magazines, books, and more, has announced the renewal and expansion of its agreement with The Economist. The renewed contract extends their existing partnership for an additional five years, while also broadening access to corporate and government institutions in select new regions.
Renewed Agreement and Expanded Reach
The original agreement, which designated PressReader as the exclusive provider of The Economist's digital replica edition for public libraries, hotels, healthcare facilities, and transportation companies, has been renewed. Under the expanded terms, the title will now be available to corporate and government institutions across Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa for the first time. In these regions, PressReader remains the exclusive provider of the digital replica edition for government institutions.
Benefits for Corporate and Government Users
This expansion enables corporate and government organizations in these areas to offer their teams seamless access to The Economist alongside thousands of other trusted newspapers and magazines from around the world, including The Guardian, Foreign Affairs Magazine, and Le Figaro. This access supports research, strategic planning, and informed decision-making.
Ruairi Doyle, CEO of PressReader, commented: "The Economist is one of the most trusted and sought-after sources of global insight and analysis. We are delighted to renew our agreement and, by making this exceptional journalism available to corporate and government institutions in new regions, we are empowering more teams to stay informed on global affairs and make balanced decisions."
Digital Replica Experience
Like other titles on PressReader's platform, The Economist is offered as a full digital replica edition, preserving the cover-to-cover experience with original images, layout, and editorial context. New issues are available immediately on the PressReader platform and can be accessed on any preferred device, anytime and anywhere.
