CGI names Tim Hurlebaus as new CEO

CGI Inc. has announced that Tim Hurlebaus will take over as chief executive officer, succeeding François Boulanger, who is retiring after a four-decade career with the company. The transition will take effect on June 1, 2026.

Leadership Change at CGI

François Boulanger, 63, has served as CEO since 2021 and has been with CGI for 40 years. He will remain on the board of directors as a non-executive director. Tim Hurlebaus, 52, currently serves as president and chief operating officer and has been with the company for 25 years. The board of directors unanimously appointed Hurlebaus to the CEO role.

Board Chair's Remarks

Serge Godin, executive chair of CGI, praised Boulanger's leadership and contributions. New CEO's Background

Tim Hurlebaus has held various leadership positions at CGI, including president of operations in the United States and Europe. He has been instrumental in driving the company's digital transformation and expanding its global footprint. "I am honored to lead CGI into its next chapter," Hurlebaus said. Company Performance

CGI, based in Montreal, is one of the largest independent IT and business consulting firms in the world. The company reported revenue of $12.8 billion in fiscal 2025, with over 90,000 employees across 40 countries.
