The announcement was made during the ASUS Business Summit 2026, a partner and customer event held in Toronto, which focused on strengthening the company's commercial ecosystem and showcasing AI-ready business solutions.

New Leadership to Drive Growth

In his new role, Vernon Coutinho will oversee the ASUS Canada System Business Group, responsible for the company's strategy and business performance across all segments. With nearly three decades of experience in the technology industry, Coutinho brings extensive expertise in sales, retail, distribution, marketing, partner strategy, and business development. His focus will be on deepening partner relationships and expanding ASUS's presence in both consumer and business solutions.

Since joining ASUS, Coutinho has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company's position in Canada. Under his leadership, ASUS's consumer market share grew from approximately 5% to as high as 20%, while the brand also solidified its leadership in gaming, premium laptops, Chromebooks, and education. Prior to this appointment, he led ASUS's consumer sales organization across the U.S. and Canada, managing retail partnerships, go-to-market strategy, and executive relationships with key accounts, while collaborating with technology partners such as AMD, Intel, and Microsoft.
