A cyclist is in critical condition after being struck by two vehicles in Montreal's Hochelaga neighbourhood on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Ontario Street and Letourneux Avenue around 4:30 p.m. The cyclist, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
According to Montreal police, the driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene, while the second vehicle fled. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
The intersection was closed for several hours as investigators collected evidence. No further details have been provided at this time.
