Two individuals have lost their lives following a shooting incident in Woodbridge on Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
Details of the Incident
York Regional Police responded to reports of gunfire outside a residence on Kaiser Drive, near Langstaff Road and Kipling Avenue, in the west-end Vaughan neighborhood at approximately 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed that homicide investigators have been assigned to the case. A significant police presence is expected to remain in the area for an extended period, and the public is advised to avoid the vicinity.
Witness Accounts
A witness reported hearing a single gunshot followed by a brief pause, then a rapid succession of four to six additional shots. The witness described the sequence as coming "out of nowhere."
