Trump Posts AI Image of Obama, Comey in Prison Garb

President Donald Trump shared an artificial intelligence-generated image on Truth Social Sunday, depicting former President Barack Obama, former FBI Director James Comey, and several other political opponents in prison jumpsuits. The post parodied the opening title sequence of "The Brady Bunch" and included doctored mug shots of former U.S. Ambassadors to the United Nations Samantha Power and Susan Rice, former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes.

Trump's Caption and Previous Post

"This is a bad (Sick!) group of people," Trump captioned the post. "Very destructive to our great Nation. Caused tremendous damage through Weaponization!" The president had previously appeared to post the same AI-generated image in July 2024 on Truth Social.

Context of the Post

Trump's latest post came after the Justice Department indicted Comey for a second time, charging him with two counts for allegedly making threats against the president. The charges stem from a May 2025 Instagram post of seashells arranged to read "86-47," which Trump alleged signaled a threat, interpreting "86" as slang for killing and "47" as a reference to himself, the 47th president.

Comey denied the accusations and responded to the indictment in a video on his Substack account in April. He told PBS News last week that he believes Trump has an "obsession" with him. "There's no doubt there's an obsession there," Comey said. "I'm kind of a relationship he can't get over it. It doesn't go both ways. I don't wake up at 3:00 a.m. thinking about him and needing to talk about him on social media."

Trump's Revenge Tour

The president has repeatedly called for his perceived political enemies to be investigated, prosecuted, or arrested during his ongoing revenge tour against critics in his second presidency.
