Mullin Unleashes Explosive Tirade Against Schumer on Fox News
Mullin's Fiery Rant Targets Schumer on Fox News

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin launched a blistering verbal assault on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) during a Thursday appearance on Fox News, accusing the Democratic leader of dishonesty and disrespect toward law enforcement.

Mullin's Explosive Remarks

“Chuck Schumer, no one respects you. The definition of a lying scumbag politician, that is you! You would be the definition if you googled you right now,” Mullin declared. He urged Schumer to “come out and be honest with the American people,” claiming that Schumer advocates for “open borders.”

Mullin continued, “If you wanna defund the Customs and Border Protection Agency, if you wanna defund ICE, who is in there arresting the criminals that the laws were passed by you, you had time to change those during the Biden administration.”

Context of the Tirade

Mullin, appointed DHS secretary late last month after President Trump fired Kristi Noem, responded to host Bill Melugin's mention that “DHS has been unfunded for more than 70 days now.” Melugin then played a clip of Schumer claiming that “nobody” in America “respects” Border Patrol and ICE, which triggered Mullin's outburst.

Mullin's Reaction to Schumer's Comments

After hearing Schumer's remarks, Mullin told Melugin that the comments made his “ears red,” adding, “It takes a lot to get me upset.” He accused Schumer of being content with “criminals running amok in our cities.”

“And for you to say that is so disrespectful to the law enforcement that is out there protecting you because he has a detail with him. How about he walks around these city streets without a detail? I wonder how safe he would feel,” Mullin said.

Mullin's appearance on Fox News, including the full tirade, is available for viewing. The segment highlights the escalating tensions between the Trump administration and Democratic leaders over border security and immigration enforcement.
