Ivanka Trump Assassination Plot Linked to Iraqi National: Report
Ivanka Trump Assassination Plot: Iraqi National Arrested

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, was reportedly the target of an assassination plot linked to an Iraqi national who is accused of organizing multiple terror attacks tied to Iran-backed militant groups.

Details of the Alleged Plot

A New York Post report published on Friday revealed that Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi allegedly planned the assassination as revenge for a 2020 American drone strike that killed Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani. Al-Saadi, who was reportedly mentored by Soleimani, vowed to seek vengeance against the Trump family.

Sources told the Post that al-Saadi obtained a blueprint of Ivanka’s home and posted threats online that included surveillance of the property. The details emerged after the U.S. Justice Department announced al-Saadi’s arrest.

Charges and Background

Al-Saadi faces six terrorism-related offenses for his activities as an operative of Kata’ib Hizballah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The DOJ stated that he was involved in nearly 20 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the United States, including arson, bombings, stabbings, and planned assaults on synagogues and U.S.-linked facilities.

Al-Saadi was arrested in Turkey earlier this month and extradited to the U.S. He faces federal terrorism charges in New York. The DOJ alleges he masterminded attacks on American and Jewish targets, such as the firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam, stabbings in London, and a shooting at the U.S. consulate in Toronto.

Ivanka Trump’s Response

Ivanka, who converted to Orthodox Judaism after marrying Jared Kushner in 2009, has not publicly commented on the alleged plot. Federal officials have not officially confirmed whether specific charges related to the plot against her have been filed.
