1. Dark Bridges Horror Film Festival
The Saskatoon Fantastic Film Festival presents the Dark Bridges Horror Film Festival, featuring full-length and short films, interactive screenings, and classics from around the world. The all-ages Saturday Morning Cartoon Party with all-you-can-eat cereal returns with a new Halloween theme. Highlights include a 10th anniversary screening of Huw Evan's Saskatoon-made The Instruments of Evil, a 40th anniversary screening of The Fly, and a Drunken Cinema screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street III: Dream Warriors. La Troupe du Jour presents 45, de la Taupinière by Isabelle Payant, co-created with student performances. In a magical world beneath our feet, human characters interact with puppets. 3. Queermunity Theatre Festival
Persephone Theatre presents the fifth annual Queermunity Theatre Festival, including a 48-hour Theatre Race where four teams create 10-minute plays performed live. MC Laura Negraeff returns, with performers Carol Greyeyes, Kevin Moxley, Joshua Beaudry, Grahame Kent, Mitchell Larsen, and Leze Pewapsconias.
