"Saturday Night Live" comedian Michael Che joined New York Knicks fans in blaming President Donald Trump's attendance at the NBA Finals' Game 3 for the team breaking its historic winning streak.

"Ya just haaaaaad to invite trumpty dumpty.." Che wrote on his Instagram story Tuesday of the matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.
Trump's appearance at Madison Square Garden drew concerns among critical and superstitious Knicks fans ahead of Monday night's game. Some believed his attendance would end the team's historic 13-game winning streak or, at least, kill the cheerful vibes of the city.
Security Inconveniences
To make matters even worse for the president, his presence massively inconvenienced everyone else attending the game with stricter security procedures, including arriving two hours earlier and being told they can't bring bags or purses.
Outside the stadium located above Penn Station, eager fans who planned to attend watch parties in the surrounding streets were met with disappointment after being told by the New York Police Department that their festivities were cancelled.
"This was done fully in coordination with the Secret Service because of the presidential visit. We expect watch parties at Madison Square Garden to resume for Game 4," police said in a statement.
Fan Backlash and Trump's Response
The president drew more backlash inside the arena, where he was loudly booed during the game. He was also caught nodding off during the action.
Ultimately, the Knicks lost against the Spurs by four points, and despite his poor reception by fans, Trump maintains that he mostly received cheers.
Che joined several online in blaming the president's attendance at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks' defeat.
