Maddow Gloats Over Trump's Boos at NBA Finals

Rachel Maddow experienced a moment of pure schadenfreude on Monday as she dissected the ice-cold reception Donald Trump received while attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.

Trump drew boos both inside and outside the arena, adding to a string of recent sporting events at which he has been jeered.

The MSNBC host could not resist rubbing it in.

"Do you want to see the warm, warm welcome the president of the United States got tonight when he decided to pretend to be a basketball fan because he wanted to go to the NBA Finals in New York tonight?" she asked as she introduced one clip of Trump being berated during what ended as a 115-111 victory for the San Antonio Spurs over the New York Knicks.

"You want to see how much New Yorkers appreciated Donald Trump?" she continued. "Making them all come to the game hours early, forcing everyone to go through tons of extra screening, forcing New York City to cancel the public-free viewing parties they had planned outside Madison Square Garden, just specifically so Trump could be there in person, even though he has only ever talked trash about the NBA and does not appear to have been an actual fan at all, at least for decades?"

After playing footage of Trump being booed outside, Maddow quipped: "When they are waving at you with just one finger, it does not mean the same as another kind of wave."
