Jennifer Lopez Denies Dating Rumors with Co-Star Brett Goldstein
J.Lo Denies Dating Brett Goldstein Amid Rumors

Jennifer Lopez is setting the record straight: She is not dating her Office Romance co-star Brett Goldstein, despite weeks of speculation about their offscreen chemistry.

The rumors came up during an appearance on Today Tuesday, when host Savannah Guthrie put the pair on the spot and asked whether there was any truth to reports their relationship had gone beyond the movie set.

The question appeared to catch Lopez off guard, but she quickly brushed off the gossip, noting people often assume she is romantically involved with anyone she is seen working with, according to Page Six.

"There is never a time when I am seen with somebody or working with somebody where they do not try to put me with the person," Lopez said.

Goldstein leaned into the joke, telling Guthrie, "I think if you stand near her, that is what happens."

After Guthrie joked, "That is what you wished would happen," the Ted Lasso star laughed and replied that he had been intentionally standing very close to Lopez for that reason.

Guthrie Not Convinced by Lopez's Response

After the "Jenny On the Block" singer explained she is frequently linked to co-stars and public figures, Guthrie interrupted to point out that she had not actually answered the question.

"I will just say because I am me and you know me, that was not an answer," Guthrie said, according to USA Today. "You did not say yes or no."

Lopez responded by explaining that the media have spent years pairing her with men she has simply worked with or been photographed alongside.

"I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. There were a lot of people," she said. "It happens all the time. Does not make it true."

'Not Dating'

Guthrie then suggested there was a reason Lopez continually finds herself at the center of romance rumors.

"Well, because you are a hot, eligible, single person," Guthrie said.

The host then made one final attempt to get a definitive answer from the singer.

"Okay, so you are not dating in real life?" Guthrie asked.

"Not dating," Lopez replied.

"Correct," Goldstein quickly added.

Rumors Circulating for Months

During an October 2025 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Lopez told host Andy Cohen that Goldstein was the best on-screen kiss she had ever had, according to USA Today. Their playful chemistry while promoting Office Romance only added fuel to the speculation, Page Six noted.

In the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy, premiering Friday, Lopez stars as CEO Jacqueline Cruz, who falls for a new employee, Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein.

The pair have also been complimentary of one another during the film's press tour. At the movie's New York City premiere last month, Lopez told People that she and Goldstein developed "great chemistry" while working together.

"It just grew as we did the film together," she said. "I expected more of a rough guy, but you get this kind, gentle but also very smart person that is so charming. That was a surprise, I think."

Meanwhile, Lopez recently reinforced her single status on social media. Over Memorial Day weekend, she shared a series of photos, including bikini shots that revealed the matching infinity-symbol tattoo she once shared with ex-husband Ben Affleck is now completely gone. The tattoo's disappearance comes after the former couple finalized their divorce in January 2025, further signaling that Lopez has moved on — but not with Goldstein.
